Description
This training course has been specially designed to provide managers and persons in positions of authority with the tools they need to effectively carry out their roles and responsibilities in preventing and managing situations of psychological harassment, in accordance with the obligations set out in Bill 42. By addressing both preventive and curative best practices, this training enables managers to intervene with employees in a proactive and caring manner. In addition, the application of these practices helps to establish and maintain a healthy, harmonious and civilized work environment for all team members.
Objectives
- Define the employer's legislative obligations and the manager's role in applying the organization's harassment policy;
- Recognize the risk factors conducive to the emergence of relational issues in the workplace ;
- Identify and distinguish between situations that may constitute a breach of civility, conflict, harassment or violence of a sexual nature;
- Identify the behaviors a manager has the right to expect from his or her employees to foster a respectful work environment;
- Know the continuum of managerial intervention strategies when an employee behaves inappropriately ;
- Identify actions to take in the event of psychological harassment.

- Legal framework / reminder of the manager's role in implementing the organization's policy ;
- Discussion of factors influencing work climate ;
- Clarification of concepts: incivility, conflict, psychological harassment, sexual harassment and sexual violence;
- Roles and responsibilities of managers and employees in creating a healthy work environment ;
- Communicate appropriately in situations of incivility (non-violent communication) ;
- Strategies for intervening with a team member ;
